Winner of over 72 international medals, the Flor de Caña Rum Factory, is considered the best in Central America, and quite possibly the best in the world. Located at the foot of the San Cristobal Volcano, the factory provides privately lead tours through the nearly two hundred year old facility.
Learn about the process of making distinct rum filled with flavor that can only come from Nicaragua. Nicaragua is a land of fertility as extreme as its climate, with possibly the best conditions in the world for growing sugar cane and producing the world’s best rums.
There are four main rums that come from the factory and they include: The Flor de Cana Grand Reserve; a seven year old rum, Flor de Cana 12 Year, The Flor de Cana Centenario 21 Commemorative Edition is a fifteen year old rum, and Flor de Cana Centenario Gold, which is very smooth eighteen year old rum.
Rum tastings at the factory are an absolute must and a considered a privilege by Nicaraguan culture.
